How to Measure for Your Sweatpants
To ensure the best fit for your sweatpants, please follow these measuring instructions carefully. You'll need a flexible tape measure (fabric or plastic). It's also helpful to have someone assist you with measuring to ensure accuracy.
1. Waist
How to Measure: Find your natural waistline, which is the narrowest part of your waist. Measure around this part of your body, keeping the tape parallel to the floor. It should be snug but not tight.
Where to Measure: Measure around your natural waistline.
2. Hips
How to Measure: Measure the fullest part of your hips, ensuring the tape is over the largest part of your buttocks. Again, the tape should be parallel to the floor and not too tight.
Where to Measure: Measure around the widest part of your hips.
3. Inseam
How to Measure: For the inseam measurement, find the highest point of your inner thigh, close to where the seam of your sweatpants would be. From this point, measure straight down to where you want the hem of the sweatpants to end.
Where to Measure: Measure from the top of your inner thigh to your desired hem length.
Additional Tips:
- Stand Straight: Ensure you stand up straight and do not stoop or slouch. Accurate measurements depend on a correct posture.
- Consistent Clothing: Try to wear clothing that is similar in thickness to what you would wear with the sweatpants for the best measurements.
- Comfortable Fit: The tape should be flat against the body but not too tight. You should be able to slide a finger under the tape measure.
